Most TikTok downloads look identical to what you saw in the app. When one looks softer than expected, it's almost always one of a handful of predictable reasons.

1. Choose the HD option when it's offered

When more than one download option shows up, the one labeled HD is the higher-quality version. It's tempting to grab the first button, but if HD is listed, that's the one worth the extra second of load time.

2. The original upload quality is the ceiling
